The St Michael’s Community
St Michael’s is a welcoming, inclusive, community-based congregation.
- We value seeking to shape our lives by the revelation of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We affirm each person as God’s wonderful gift and look to encourage them in following Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
- We value the Traditions of the Church as a guide to shape the present.
- We respond to God’s calling in Christ to witness to Him in our Church, families, neighbourhoods, work environments, city and world.
There is always something going on at St Michael’s. Please click on the link below for a guide to special Sundays and events suitable for families:
These are occasional lunch gatherings on a Sunday for St Michael’s families with children in primary school or in the early years of secondary school. The V stands for Virtuous. The I stands for Imaginative. The M stands for Mega-Munchies. These lunches are a chance for families to build friendship and provide a setting to develop our Christian values and to imaginatively follow Jesus. The next VIM lunch is on Sunday, 14 May.
On Sunday 12 February 2017, the St Michael’s community lunched together in a number of our homes. The aim of these annual lunches is to bring the whole community together on one day. The day was a great success.
Family Camping Weekend – 22-24 September 2017
We are inviting any Parish members to a camping weekend on the banks of the Colo River at the Upper Colo Reserve in the Hawkesbury Shire. There is a huge camping area and great river frontage ideal for bike riding, swimming and canoe craft. This is a BYO everything sort of weekend away.
St Michael’s Market Weekend
This year’s Market Weekend is on 25-26 August. Our sincere thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who worked so hard to make our 2016 Annual Vintage Pre-Loved sale such a huge success!!
